Retiring after 25 years as an attorney in private practice, Jean has returned to her first love for animals as Office Manager at Northland Animal Hospital. Before her career as an attorney, she raised and trained Rottweilers for AKC competition. Her dogs have attained both Championship titles in conformation and obedience titles. She and her husband, Joe, were also active in Schutzhund. You can still find her Tuesday evenings teaching Puppy Manners classes with the goal of teaching new puppy parents how to raise their puppies using positive reinforcement techniques to replace bad behavior with good behavior. Jean is an active volunteer at KC Pet Project, the city’s no-kill animal shelter. She lives in Kansas City with her husband, Joe, and their dog, Bella, a five-year-old Rottweiler, an alumnus of KC Pet Project. In her spare time, she enjoys working in the memorial garden of her 1920s Arts and Crafts bungalow and she is a published quilter and jewelry designer.
Hollie has been with Northland Animal Hospital since February, 2019. She and her family relocated to the Kansas City area from Portland Oregon 4 years ago. Hollie enjoys spending time with her family and her three dogs, her Shih Tzu Patty, English Bulldog Ruckus and Chihuahua mix Diddy. She enjoys greeting clients and their pets as they enter the clinic. She has learned that caring for pets is more than just annual vaccinations, but that the process is so rewarding. Hollie is accomplished in the art of crocheting and has created several significant projects of which she is very proud. Her daughter, Olivia, is a high-school student and keeps Hollie jumping. She lives in Kansas City with her husband Sean, Olivia and her pets.
